1970年2月にURCレコードから発売された『愚』のシングル。プロデューサーの藤井が愚のメンバーもよく知っていて、30年来気に入っていた曲だったらしい。私自身は『URCシングルス2』というコンピレーションで聴かせてもらって、”yellow”のイメージに合いそうないい曲だとカバーすることに決めた。ケイトが絹の手触りのような美しいアレンジで生まれ変わらせてくれた。オーボエとチェロの掛け合いが美しい。

This was a single by a Japanese group called Gu, released in February,1970. Satoru Fujii, HaLo’s producer, knows the members of the group well and has wanted to record a cover version for a long time. I listened to this song on a compilation album called “URC singles” and thought it would be a beautiful song for “yellow”. Kate gave it new life with this beautiful silk like arrangement. The conversation between the oboe and the cello is beautiful.
