『豚の報い』という映画のサントラでこの曲を聴いて、気に入り、歌詞をつけて歌うことを許してもらった。原曲は「波だ」というタイトルでクラリネットの曲。チェロとアレンジのスヴァンテとは、99年の来日の時にチェロの演奏とソロアルバム”Enkidu”を聴いて以来「いつか一緒に録音を」と連絡を取り合い、ストックホルム郊外の彼の自宅に押しかけることによって実現。

I liked this song when I first heard it on the soundtrack of the film “buta-no mukui” and got permission to sing it with my lyrics. The original title is “it’s a wave” (in Japanese ‘tears’ and ‘it’s a wave’ have the same sound) and is a song for the clarinet. I met Svante, the arranger and cello player, when he came to Tokyo in 1999. I really liked his cello playing and his solo album “Enkidu” and kept in touch hoping to record together sometimes. It came true by our going to his house in a suburb of Stockholm.
